EDGE (6TH – 8TH GRADE)

The “EDGE” is a ministry program for all middle school youth of our parish, grades 6th – 8th. Through the EDGE, our youth meet two times a month on Sunday evenings from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. for educational sessions regarding their Catholic faith. Our goal is to give our middle school youth the edge, the Catholic edge, the Jesus edge as they go through this time of change in their lives. Read More >>

Ministry of Mothers Sharing

This ministry welcomes you to a Personal Journey for Mothers. The eight journey sessions, which meet once a week, create in women an awareness of the inner sacred self and teaches them new ways to inspire, encourage and affirm each other. Read More >>

Religious Education – Pre-School – 5th Grade

Faith formation is a lifelong process, and through religious education classes, we provide formal catechesis for children 4 years old through 5th grade. Guidelines for this formation are developed under the guidance of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Through this formation the parish can work in partnership with parents to assist with the development of your children’s Catholic faith, prayer life, sacraments and tradition. Read More >>

RCIA

RCIA is a nine month program preparing participants for full communion into the Catholic Church, which occurs at the Easter Vigil. We welcome all non-Catholics including those who are just interested in learning more about the Faith. Sponsors who are in full communion with the Church are needed. Read More >>

RCIC

RCIC is what we call RICA adapted for children. It is a designed for children who have not received the sacraments of Christian initiation – Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist. RCIC is preparation for these Sacraments and for reception into the Roman Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. The sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession, Penance) is celebrated before Easter. Sacramental Preparation

The Eucharist is “the source and summit of the Christian life.” 136 LG 11.
First Eucharist is the second of the Sacrament of Initiation. All students in 2nd grade, who have received formal religious education for one year either at Holy Name parish or through another parish and is currently registered in Religious Education class or who have attended Holy Name School, will take part in the formation process for the sacrament of First Eucharist. Vacation Bible School

Vacation bible school is a week long ministry held in the month of June. Through this ministry we teach age-appropiate Catholic principles and scripture through fun activities and faith-filled learning.
