1907 – Msgr. Peter Killian bought the first five lots (purchased for $500) on which the rectory now stands.

1908 – Msgr. Peter Killian is appointed founder and pastor of Blessed Sacrament Parish. Church located on top floor of the rectory.

1918 – Church name changed from Blessed Sacrament to Holy Name of Jesus.

1921 – Ground Breaking for the church-school (August 16, 1921)

1922 – Cornerstone laid for the new church-school (June 4th, 1922)

• Dedication Day (November 5, 1922 – Church moved to the first floor.
• Franciscan Sisters Ripperger, Coors, and Growein opened Holy Name School with 53 pupils in two rooms for grades 1-8. The Ladies Altar Society formally begins.

1927 – Msgr. Killian celebrated his Silver Anniversary of the Priesthood.

1935 – Massive building expansion for the church-school.

1943 – Msgr. Killian died (January 24, 1943).

• Fr. John Patterson was appointed as pastor (June 25, 1943)

1951 – Convent was added to the campus.

• Fr. Patterson died (August 1951).
• Fr. Robert Hartman appointed pastor.
• New convent building completed for residence of ten sisters (September 1951).

1953 – Rectory moved and the new church cornerstone laid on November 15th.

• Men’s Club formed under the name of the Holy Name Society.

1954 – New church completed and dedicated on November 1st by Archbishop Schulte.

1957 – Building additions to Holy Name School, including cafeteria & kitchen.

1958 – Golden Jubilee of Holy Name Parish

1960 – Jerry Craney became the director of the Men & Boys choirs.

1964 – Addition of the Franciscan Novitiate

1965 – First Holy Name band started with fourteen members.

• School enrollment peaks with 963 students.

1971 – Fr. Hartman celebrated 40 years as a priest and 20 years as Holy Name’s pastor.

1972 – Athletic Association established.

1977 – Fr. Hartman retires (June) and the south wing of the cafeteria is renamed as Hartman Hall.

• Fr. Hartman died (November).
• Fr. James Wilmoth appointed as new pastor.

1982 – The Society of St. Vincent de Paul formed.

1983 – Diamond Anniversary celebration of Holy Name Parish

2003 – Convent taken down, new buildings added including the Parish Office.

2004 – Celebrated 50th Anniversary of the Present Church building

• Dedication by Archbishop Daniel Buechlein.

2005 – Youth Ministry program introduced at Holy Name.

2008 – Holy Name Celebrates 100th Anniversary (June).

• Fr. Stan Pondo appointed as new pastor.

2010 – Fr. William Williams appointed as new pastor.
