Oktoberfest is the main festival event and fund-raising venue for Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church parish. A lively and entertaining street festival in the heart of Beech Grove, Oktoberfest draws revelers and families from across the Indianapolis area, thanks to its promise of a weekend devoted to food, fun and fabulous prizes. The well-known Indianapolis bands, The Flying Toasters and The Woomblies Rock Orchestra will be performing this year.

Oktoberfest is a community event that brings together generations of Holy Name parishioners, alumni, parents, students, donors, friends and supporters. More than 1,000 people attend this two-day event.
Health and safety Fair – is NEW this year in an effort to outreach to our Beech Grove Community
Free physicals , Blood pressure and blood sugar checks. Free Bone density testing and free cholesterol check, asthma and COPD , sign up for insurance.
Beech Grove police will be making free kids ID cards with finger printing on Saturday night only .
Beech Grove Fire Dept. will be on hand for fire safety tips and free tours of the fire trucks and fire safety tips .
Indiana University’s Center of Excellence in Women’s Health encourages women and teens to receive a free health screening on the Wellness on Wheels (WOW) Bus on Friday, September 29, between 5-8 p.m. Meet one-one-one with a nurse practitioner to learn what steps you can take to improve your health. All participants will receive a free cookbook. For more information, contact Teri Duell at email@example.com.
Saint Francis Hospital will be main sponsor on Saturday September 30, 2017 offering bone density testing , blood pressure checks, free cholesterol testing ,Blood sugar testing , cancer screening testing.
MDwise will be available both nights signing folks up for insurance .
University of Indianapolis Nursing students will be volunteering doing Blood Pressure checks
American senior communities will be present both nights offering information about assisted living and long term care
A nutritionist will be available to discuss healthy eating habits .. she our very own Nichole Haywood ( Parishioner at Holy Name)
