Clubs & Activities

In an effort to provide further small group and on-on-one tutoring opportunities, Holy Name invites students to participate in A+ Club. With a primary focus on Math and Language Arts skills, students engage in hands-on learning activities while working with one of our certified teaching professionals before or after school. Facilitators of these tutoring sessions are certified teachers at HNCS.

Students who participate in Art Club meet for workshops to create projects that extend beyond the daily curriculum. Art Club gives students who wish to pursue their artistic interests an opportunity to enhance skills while learning new techniques and socializing with friends.

Sister Nicolette shares her Rosary making skills with students after school during Rosary Club. They learn how to create beautiful jewelry AND the deep religious meaning of its design.

The Holy Name Band makes beautiful music! Students in Grades 5 – 8 have the chance to participate in Beginning or Advanced Band. Twice a week, the instructor meets with students to practice newly acquired skills and to further develop their love of and yearning for music. What a treat it is when our Band performs at lunch and at the spring concert at Roncalli High School!

The Children’s Choir, made up of students in Grades 5 – 8, practices weekly during school. They actively participate in liturgies weekly at school and monthly at Sunday Masses.

Lights, Camera, Action! The HNCS Drama Club & Drama Club Jr. consist of students in Grades 3 – 8 who love to perform! Whether it be a fun little skit written by intermediate students or an entire production such as the Middle School Musical, these thespians write it, act it out, and take care of scenery, staging, and lighting along the way!

Recycling Club! Thanks to these “Go Green” Giants, our school is making a conscientious effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle. These club members take care of emptying recycling bins and promoting an earth-conscientious environment!

Girls and boys at HNCS have abundant opportunities year-round to participate in Holy Name Athletics! To learn more, check out Athletics!
